Ah, Valentine’s Day, when love is in the air, and the pressure to impress your date is at its highest. Naturally, that’s the day these eight shy teenagers chose to test their compatibility. For their first date, the four couples had different meals, and a different choice of activity. Which lucky lovers were paired up, and what did they do?

1. When comparing dates the next day, Joy was relieved she had turned down Rich. Given where he took his date, her allergies to seafood would have been an issue.
2. Although she found the after-dinner activity a bit dull, Francis was surprised by how much fun she had shopping for ingredients with her date.
3. Either Anton or Gwen had dinner with their date at the theme park, to maximize time for the rides, but they weren’t a couple.
4. Fortunately, her date knew that Joy didn’t like Italian food, and planned accordingly.
5. Kat and Bernard splurged on dinner, so they definitely couldn’t afford the theme park.
6. The couple who cooked together settled for a romantic movie afterward.
7. Poor Gwen discovered she had two left feet. Following her dance partner wasn’t as easy as movies made it seem.
