Featured Puzzle: Ichimaga #2

Love and dating is all about making human connection. In that spirit, today we’ll play a variant of Ichimaga, a puzzle all about connections.

  • The number inside each circle indicates the number of lines connected to it.
  • If a circle has no number, it may connect to 1-4 lines.
  • Lines may not cross or branch.
  • Some circle pairs may be connected by more than one line.
  • A line may turn 90 degrees, but no more than once between any pair of circles.
  • Magnetic Variant: Circles with the same number may not be connected.

I wanted to work at least one word puzzle in this month, so here’s a pretty simple one. Place all the letter pairs into the circles so that they spell six 6-letter words, reading across the line to the opposite colored circle. All of the words include the letters ON in the center.

Featured Puzzle: Gemini Sudoku #1

In Gemini Sudoku, you’re given a pair of Sudoku grids. The grid on the right works like a cipher for the grid on the left. Wherever a digit appears in the left grid, it maps to a specific digit in the same position in the right grid. For example 4 in the left grid might map to a 6 in the right grid. This means that for every 4 you discover on the left, you can place a 6 in the same position on the right.
