Featured Puzzle: Jigsaw Sudoku #2
September 9th is International Sudoku Day! So, today’s puzzle is Jigsaw Sudoku. The rules are pretty much the same as regular Sudoku, with irregular regions instead of 3×3.
Featured Puzzle: Gokigen #4
t’s been months since we’ve done a Gokigen puzzle. Let’s take a break from all the schoolwork puzzles to relax and draw some diagonal lines. Place slanted lines in every cell of the grid, using the clues to help you figure out the direction of each one.
Featured Puzzle: Factorism #1 – Practice Your Times Tables!
Brush off your times tables, because I have one more back-to-school themed puzzle for you. In Factorism, your goal is to place the numbers 1 through 9 along the top and left of the grid. Numbers in the grid are the product of the factors for that row and column.
Featured Puzzle: Futoshiki #3 – Old School Math Lesson
Back in my youth, one of the sillier worksheets we used to get in math class was the number comparison worksheet. the teacher used to explain the greater-than and less-than symbols as, “the alligator easts the larger number.” That got me thinking that it would be a fun way to theme a Futoshiki puzzle.
Featured Puzzle: Pencils #2 – Back to School Supplies!
It’s that time of year again! Head to the store with a list for pencils, pens, tissue paper, a new design for your Trapper Keeper — wait, wrong decade… Anyway, today we have another Pencils puzzle. I still love that this particular type of puzzle was invented by a student.
Draw pencils into the grid. Each pencil must also draw a line as long as itself, so that all grid cells are used.
